Beginning Internet Class--Class participants will learn how to use browser buttons, how to enter a website address, how to use hypertext links and how to identify different types of web addresses, types of search engines, and other basic skills. Beginning Internet training is offered as a hands-on group class. You should know how to operate a computer mouse and keyboard. If you feel uncomfortable using a mouse, try  this mouse tutorial. For more information please call or visit the reference desk at your local library. Registration is required. Sign up for this free class by calling (570) 421-0800 ext. 39.

Dances of Egypt and Beyond with Diana Shahein
An Educational and Entertaining Dance Performance

Embark on an entrancing journey with renowned dancer Diana Shahein as she captivates you with dance, history, costumes and music of cultures which go back to the roots of civilization.
Explore the life and dance of the gypsies of Luxor, the charming stick dance of the peasant from the Saiidi region of upper Egypt, the alluring sensuality of what came to be known later in the West as belly dance, and the celebratory wedding dance which features the dancer balancing a candelabra on her head. Glimpse into the mysterious trance dance of Morocco, the Zar ritual from the Sudan, and the hypnotic, mesmerizing Whirling Dervish of Turkey.

This hourlong presentation is free and open to the public. Suitable for all ages.
