The Friends of the Eastern Monroe Public Library, is a not-for-profit organization for people interested in books and libraries. The purpose is to stimulate public interest in the library, purchase library materials, and support other cultural and educational programs.

The Friends of the Eastern Monroe Public Library acquires funds through membership fees, donations, and the annual book sale.

Each year the Friends of the Eastern Monroe Public Library has an annual Book Sale. The 2008 Book Sale will be June 7^th through June 13^th.
